CLICK HERE to check out the post from Friday.
Well, as far as I know, the old man did not “take the deal.” I hesitate to refer to him as “old man”, but not sure he’d want his name here.
Anyway, I did as I said I would do and showed up at his door at 0815 yesterday morning. I knocked and rang the bell until about 0825, but he did not answer the door.
I really didn’t get overly excited and set myself up for a let down though. I knew that either a seed had been planted or one was watered on Friday and it is not my job to save him. Only Jesus can do that and we prayed for this man in our Sunday school class. We prayed that the Lord would work in his heart regardless of where he was Sunday morning.
I may stop by some other time or I may just wait until I see him again. I’m pretty sure I’ve seen him several times before. The incident on Friday could have been for me and not for him. Although I witnessed God working in this man, I also felt Him working in me. I felt Him tell me that my mood or personal circumstances have to sometimes be put on the back burner to do His work. I have comfort in knowing that next time I will be more ready and sensitive to the situation.
On another note, we participated in the Fort Building Contest, over on Tam’s blog. We submitted the video below.
